Let us share with you what sets DroneQuote apart. We’ve defined ourselves as fiduciaries to our clients rather than simply salespeople. 

We are DroneQuote, an online marketplace for purchasing roofing and solar systems for your home. As the name implies, we use drones to gather site information- a method that seems ahead of time as this writing. 

Before DroneQuote was established, our CEO Sinuhe Montoya used to work as an in-home salesperson. That’s why he runs a business that would leave no question about the company’s integrity or the desire to help homeowners. The firm values of LDRSHIP are the guiding principle of DroneQuote. These values are taught by Sinuhe’s mother and reinforced in the Army.

All this is to say that the culture and people we hire to work with DroneQuote, the consultants that speak with our clients, are based on a foundation of doing the right thing for the client rather than making the sale. Hence the fiduciary approach we take and the title we give ourselves. We can attest to living with that through the reviews left by clients we have worked with.  

The 3 catalysts for DroneQuote

Three catalysts based on client experience pushed us to where we are now. First, prospects often wanted to get their quotes delivered via email. The problem is that this approach robs the chance of having questions answered to their satisfaction. This is because the industry of in-home sales for home improvement doesn’t have a reputation for being as considerate of the client’s well-being. Unfortunately, some salespeople are only about their commissions.

The DroneQuote model functions completely online. While we ask you to hop into a consultation call with our clients, we don’t end it with a hard sell on why you need to sign today before the price goes up tomorrow.

Number two, people like options.  People often told him in the house, “I need more quotes before I make a decision.” We get that because we would say the same thing. So to accommodate this, DroneQuote will typically offer you more than one company’s quote.

And we take it a step further with the Watts My Price tool, which, as the name implies, gives you the price for solar depending on variables you can change yourself. Once we’ve consulted with you and the parameters of your home are accounted for, the Watts My Price tool will let you build your own solar quote according to what you want to see, not what we think you want to see. 

Are there different panels you’d like? Great, change them out in The Watts My Price tool and see how that impacts the system. 

What about choosing between inverters? Same. The Watts My Price tool lets you choose between options our installers carry. While some companies sell against different components because they only take one type of product, we’ll offer you options that fit your needs and budget. 

You can even add or remove batteries from your quote, change the size of the system, and, if our install partner offers it, even add different finance options. All of this without having to call a salesperson to ask for quotes to be changed.

The third catalyst for DroneQuote was getting on roofs. It’s difficult climbing roofs, as we have experienced. That’s why we discovered in 2014 that using drones as an alternative to climbing roofs is safer and more efficient; we did not go back to the old way. 

Now with DroneQuote, these surveys come in very handy. They allow us to survey just about any roof in the United States where we currently work. Furthermore, we take an additional survey after installation to confirm quality and workmanship. As much as we hate to say it, sometimes we find issues on the roof or deficiencies in the installation. But we can correct the problem rather than put the burden of proof on the installer.

For example, a client’s roof was fine before installation. But a whole tile was missing after installation. While this is rather odd, we got to the bottom of it and had it fixed. Had we not done so, the homeowner would have had to prove to the installers five years into the future how the roof leak that materialized from the missing panel was, in fact, the installer’s fault and not the homeowner’s. 

And for those who have to install a roof with solar or simply just a roof, our drone surveys will take your buying process to the next level!

We created a roof simulator that will literally show you what your next roof will look like. How it works is once you’ve ordered a drone survey with us, we upload the site data and draw your roof onto the crispiest photo of your home you’ve ever seen. 

If we have partners in your area for roofing, they can provide quotes based on this data and whatever roof style you select. If we don’t have partners in your roof, you can take the roof report we generate for you with all the relevant details, and you can easily shop with local roofers.
